Despite that Vanuatu is the 15th copra producer in the world, the fuzzy international market for copra oil does not provide proper incomes to local farmers. The use of copra oil in power generation clearly benefits to the entire coconut community, establishing a significant local market, offering stable and decent prices to rural communities in Vanuatu.
